What We Do
We are committed to assisting individuals and families of individuals ages 15-25 by first identifying any of the following issues and then creating a support plan by connecting the appropriate community resources to find solutions to these problem areas of their lives.

Objectives
- Mental Wellness Support Plans – We conduct mental health assessments and screenings to identify mental health concerns and create individualized Mental Wellness Support Plans to assist our clients with addressing the problem areas of their lives to accomplish goal achievement.
- Serve as a psychiatric liaison to help clients manage their mental health conditions
- Holistic Approach – We provided care that is holistic and focuses on every aspect of the lives of the individuals and families of individual we serve
- Community Awareness Programs – Mindful Connection partners with other community organizations to create enriching programs to help decrease the stigma associated with mental illness and bring about awareness and education on mental health.
Our Focus
We are committed to improving the lives and well-being of adolescents and young adults with mental/behavioral health conditions by cultivating awareness and decreasing the stigmatization that surrounds mental illness by providing our services in a way that is loving, kind, and compassionate. We have over 15 years of experience in working through the specific needs of close loved ones with mental health conditions throughout those years.
We believe in mental/behavioral health care and know it to be extremely effective when coupled with community support. We are dedicated in our efforts to extend our knowledge and hard work to the betterment of those lives that may truly benefit from our services.

Talk-to-Change Initiative
- A community outreach campaign for Mental Health Reform that will influence stakeholders with government, political or funding power to implement public projects and policies that primarily benefit individual communities and drive social change.
- Encourage the mental health community to be more transparent about how the experiences of those with mental illness are impacted by communities that have a lack of mental health awareness.
- Acknowledgment of how the workforce negatively affects the mental health of employees, suggest recommendation to make workforce more mental strong
- Acknowledge the detrimental effects of lack of mental health education and awareness within school systems; impose mental health education within curriculum starting as early as grade school.
- Address the need for more community organizations or non-profits to decompress the overwhelmed institutions (hospitals facilities) and governmental agencies (department of family and children services) due to an overall lack of mental health and awareness of individuals within our communities.
- Address the lack of programs that directly provide services, education, and training for the environmental factors that lead to mental illness.

Annual Teen Summit
ButtonEach year Mindful Connections will host a back-to-school teen summit that will focus on suicide awareness/prevention. The summit will be developed by and for adolescents and will feature situational skits and performances by musical guests.

Backpack Drive
ButtonWe believe that is important to provide those much-needed tools for the start of a successful school year that is why we will help to supply those vulnerable members of our community with backpacks filled with school supplies each year.

ButtonFeeding the families within our community during the holidays is just one way we plan to give back to our community.

Toy Drive
ButtonThe Christmas Holidays can be especially stressful for those families in our communities that struggled to meet their basic needs. We plan to lighten the load by providing toys that will help to bring a little joy to a child in need.

ButtonWhat better way to bring the community together than through fun, excitement, and kids which is why we will host an event during the spring to get people out of the house and enjoy a day of fun with the Mindful Connections Community Easter Egg Hunt.
