Our Impact

Mindful Connections participated in a panel discussion along with NAMI (west LA) and AFSP (American Federation for Suicide Prevention) about Mental Health awareness and Suicide Prevention at the Geffen Playhouse for September for Suicide Awareness Month 


Mindful Connections works with the reentry population to help provide much needed service at Paving the Way – attended a job fair event in October to provide access to services and educational material for mental health awareness


Mindful Connections will be attending iLead Palmdale Youth Conference on 11/4 which is a conference intended to give youth the opportunity to connect with community resources and engage their perspectives on pertinent issues in the community.

Michael (19)

is one of our beloved heroes who we have worked with for 2 years. He faced many challenges and adversities related to his conditions but through the years of receiving support from Mindful Connections, he is now in a much better place. He was able to finish high school and is now a member of the armed forces at just 19 years old!

Sarah (15)

our beloved hero, has been with us for about 1 year now and we have had the pleasure of being a part of her amazing journey. She had challenges with school and family issues which we have worked to create a plan that has addressed these issues. She is now an honor roll student with the help of an amazing tutor and has had much improvement with her family life through an appropriate family counselor who meets her family’s needs.

Steven (21)

is one of our young adult beloved heroes who has been with us for close to one year. He had trouble trying to find his way as a young adult due to his condition. We were able to create a support plan that outlined the areas where he needed support and through that plan, we were able to connect Steven with a mentor who has assisted him with college enrollment. He also has been able get the help that he needed for his conditions so that he would be successful with is educational goals. Steven has now completed two successful semesters in a local college and is an active volunteer to help others with similar challenges.
